HOW THE LIGHT IS REVEALED

1. sheet and workpiece

We start with a large plexiglass sheet, which in some cases can be up to 9 cm thick, depending on the final product. The large sheets are made especially for us by a supplier who only supplies superior quality plexiglass. The sheets are cut into sections, depending on the design and the number of pieces needed. We use intelligent machines to optimise the sheet and minimise waste.

2. turning

During this stage, the blocks are sculpted as if they were made from marble. The machines used to work the plexiglass are designed to our own specifications. During the sculpting process, the curved, smooth forms emerge of what will later become finished hangers. At this stage the surface is still rough and opaque.

3. sanding

The hangers are sanded using increasingly fine sandpaper, and then finished by hand with special cloths until the surface is crystal clear. This process requires enormous skill and care, since it affects the quality of the finished product. The hangers are then ready to be fitted with a hook and accessories.

4. engraving

The laser equipment engraves the plexiglass, reproducing even the most complex logos with the utmost precision. We can also customise the design using other techniques such as pad printing or by applying metal or crystal logos.

5. inspection

Each piece is inspected thoroughly before shipment to check that there are no defects of any kind. Toscanini Quality Control is extremely rigorous to ensure that all products meet the company’s standards.
