A Unique Opportunity for Italian Design

We are thrilled to receive this prestigious recognition celebrating our passion for design. Our commitment to innovation is evident in the numerous projects we have completed in the 100 years since our inception. Angie Wall will be the protagonist of two upcoming events dedicated to showcasing projects selected for the ADI Design Index 2023. The first event will take place in Milan from 6 November to 19 November, while the second will be held in Rome from 27 November to 2 December. Both events aim to showcase products, companies, and designers to the general public and institutions to increase visibility and recognition for their work.

The ADI Design Index exhibition is a yearly collection of the finest Italian design products and services. It serves as a pre-selection of projects eligible to compete for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro. Conceived by Gio Ponti, this award has been celebrating the best of Italian creativity for the past 70 years.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9476″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9474″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Angie Wall or the Brilliance of Made in Italy

This event is a momentous occasion to introduce the design process that led to the creation of Angie Wall, an ingenious system adding a touch of design to spaces intended for jackets and coats. Its minimal lines, modular design, and distinct magnetised hook make it perfect for public spaces in offices, restaurants, and home entryways. Angie Wall is not just an accessory but an authentic piece of furniture that blends seamlessly into its surroundings, striking for its versatility and aesthetic appeal. It remains an eye-catching addition to any space, even when not in use.

Angie Wall, designed by Industrial Designer Giulio Iacchetti, has a hidden magnet that lets hangers unhook in a single gesture. “Even the name in itself is a project. Angie is reminiscent of an angel as it helps us in a very sophisticated and ethereal way, a little magical home assistant in our wardrobes,” Iacchetti explains. The partnership with Toscanini stems from the designer’s mission: “To return to handcrafted, to a formal, functional yet tangible aesthetic quality of objects“. Iacchetti declares himself an admirer of everything “that apparently does not need design. I have always studied hangers because they have wide margins of exploration while remaining functional and simple objects. They carry significance, appreciated by everyone, not just by an elite“.

The result is an object made of exquisite wood, “the material par excellence that has enhanced Toscanini’s artistry with very organic shapes that accompany the design of the shoulder and the entire Angie Wall project“.

The Angie Wall system is available in natural beech wood and a sophisticated black Ebony finish.

Towards a Future of Excellence

Angie Wall is eligible to participate in the 28th edition of the 2024 ADI Compasso d’Oro Award. The ADI Design Index brings together the best products and services from every sector of Italian design, hand-picked by ADI for the most prestigious Italian design award. We cannot but be honoured by this recognition,” says Federica Toscanini, Marketing & Sales Director.

We look forward to seeing you at the ADI Design Index 2023, an opportunity not to be missed where you can discover the functionality and creativity of Angie Wall.
